Jayden Liu

Co-founder

Jayden has spent most of his career in healthcare. He started at McKinsey, advising health systems and health tech companies, then joined one of New York’s largest Medicaid home care agencies, first as Chief of Staff and later as Head of Partnerships.

He grew up in a Chinese family where caring for your elders is the most important thing you can do. He lived with his grandparents and stayed close to them, and today his grandfather relies on home care to live a full life.

At the agency, Jayden met many elders like his grandfather who depended on their home health aides. Behind each of those relationships was something easy to miss: the aide could only keep coming if the elder’s Medicaid coverage stayed active. That’s why we co-founded Ambassador Health: to help as many eligible seniors as possible stay covered, and to take the paperwork off them and their families.

Ryan Teshima

Ryan spent five years at DoorDash building applied AI agents that help merchants and small businesses run their operations. He also led the Merchant Apps Platform team and the zero-to-one build of the DoorDash Merchant app that now serves over 140,000 monthly active users.

Ryan grew up in a healthcare family: his mom, dad, and sister are all pharmacists. In college at Johns Hopkins, he built software for clinicians at the university’s hospital and a platform for Baltimore’s growing startup community.

Building AI at DoorDash showed Ryan how much work the technology can take off people’s plates. It also showed him how unevenly that help arrives. The people with the most to gain, including elders trying to navigate a paper-heavy Medicaid system, are usually the last to see it. At Ambassador Health, he’s putting that technology to work for the people it usually reaches last.
